Who is KRho Glass Art?
Kelli Rhoda is a retired educator who taught Middle School Mathematics and Science for over 20 years. As a lover of science, Kelli has always loved the way colorful glass looks when light passes through it. She is mesmerized by the prisms and radiant rays that project through glass.
Kelli's mom Donna was a stained glass artist! When donna passed away she left behind many pieces of stained glass art as well as the tools to create with glass. Having no idea where to begin, Kelli did not start to create with these tools until after she retired from education.
Kelli began to teach herself the art of stained glass and made her first piece, a one piece ghost suncatcher! From there, she continued to practice and learn on her own, creating larger pieces with more intricate designs.
Feeling her mom's presence whenever she creates, Kelli enjoys making pieces that she knows her mom would be proud of. "I love creating for other people, I enjoy collaborating and working together to draw a pattern and pick out glass colors. It brings me joy to bring the beauty of colorful glass to others.
