Welcome to Astrological Consulting Services, my name is Jim Marik.
I began my study of astrology while in college in 1972 after a fellow student attempted to read my chart. He left me with more questions than answers, but I was fascinated. Since then, I have studied it and found how useful it can be for tracking the energy trends of my life, and the lives of others.

Along the way I learned several approaches to astrology and have found the Evolutionary method to be the most useful. What attracts me to it is the premise that we are not the person depicted in the birth chart exactly-- we evolve as we grow. Nothing in nature is static, everything, everybody, evolves during their lifetime. Though we are always, at our core, the person the birth chart reflects, who we are today is shaped by our experiences and the choices we make in life based on who we fundamentally are. As we keep living, and keep making more choices, I believe we can look to astrology to help us see opportunities, prepare for and deal with challenges, and understand ourselves better, both our strengths and weaknesses.
 

My sessions with people usually last about 90 minutes. Individuals or couples are welcome, and you will receive a laminated copy of your chart, a printout of notes to remind you of high points we will cover when we talk, and a sheet explaining symbols and some basics of my approach to astrology.
