"Flow through the Flo"

My work has been influenced by my life. Starting at a young age I remember being with my father out observing nature. While sitting on top of the hills at the farm; I watched the grass flow like green waves after a spring rain, rolling clouds with their ever changing images, ripples of water in the sunlight, the birds, the cattle and other creatures that passed by. I would also sit with my Grandma who taught me how to paint at a very early age. My mother was the one who encouraged us to explore and to just be. When I look back at my creative work it seems to be an expression of what I both experienced and learned at that important time in my life.

My current work is connected to dreams, meditations and other everyday connections. It is also heavily influenced by the information gathered from doing healing energy work. The images are connected closely to vivid dreams and meditation images. A lot of the time the title, the story, the composition and the colors are all given to me in a dream or in a meditative state. I have labeled this stretch of my work as "Visionary Work". 

​

I make not of images like a bug, a leaf, a flower, or a person that captures my eye. The seeds are planted and these images become bountiful resources, ready to grow. The creation of painting or sculpture is a carry through of that inspiration and vision.

​

I am grateful I can soak in all the beauty of the universe and that I am able to share my creations. I hope that you can enjoy my work on a playful level, as well as, feel the healing energy that can capture your heart and soul.
